A FRENCH ISLAND

Back in time / Retour dans le passé.

Last July, we did a bike road-trip in Brittany with Simi. It was amazing to go on an adventure for two weeks, with only some luggage: our bikes, a tent and a trailer containing all our equipment.
Our finest step was certainly the Island of Brehat.
It's an archipelago of several little islands. The main island, 2.17 miles long and 1 mile wide, actually includes two islands, connected by a bridge: the south island and the town, and the north island, which is wilder.
Its climate is mild thanks to the proximity of the Gulf Stream, and plants flourish there easily: Brehat is known as "the island of flowers", and the site is protected.
There are no cars there: only rare tractors are allowed, journeys are made on foot or by cycling.
I regret not taking more pictures of the town and streets: but it gives me an argument to go back there next year ! (You know I did it on purpose he he he !)
